About Mrs. Villarreal aka Mrs. V
I have been teaching Introduction to Engineering at Chisholm Trail for the past 15 years. In my classroom, students engage in a variety of hands-on experiences including architectural lettering, 3D modeling and printing, robotics design and programming, as well as science and technology experiments.
Outside of teaching, I work with private clients on residential home design and remodel projects. My background in architecture and interior design allows me to bring real-world experience into the classroom.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, majoring in Interior Design, with minors in Technology and Art from Texas State University. I later moved to San Diego, where I earned a Master of Architecture degree from the NewSchool of Architecture. Before joining Round Rock ISD, I worked as a Project Manager in the architecture field, leading projects in San Diego and La Jolla, California.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my husband, John, and our 3½-year-old son, Joaquin. As a family, we love outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, and traveling.

PLTW-Gateway programs emphasize critical thinking, creativity, innovation and real-world problem solving. The hands-on learning engages students on multiple levels, exposes them to areas of study that they may not otherwise pursue, and provides them with a foundation and proven path to post-secondary training and career success in STEM-related fields.
