Extra Credit

Most six weeks there will be an extra credit assignment offered to replace your lowest daily grade. The assignment may be an extra writing assignment, research assignment or mini-project. Here are a few things to remember about Extra Credit in 7th grade Language Arts:

• Extra credit only replaces your lowest daily grade, not a major project or test grade.
• If you are worried about low test grades, you always have the option to come in for help and request a retest.
• If you have all high (above 90) daily grades to start, you will get very little boost from completing the extra credit assignment.
• Extra credit can really help if you have a very low daily grade or a zero which you would like to replace.
• Look in this location for extra credit announcements.
