Mrs. Shumake

My name is Amy Shumake. This is my 12th year teaching, but my second year at Chandler Oaks! My goal for all of my students is to help them discover what makes them excited about learning. I want them to feel valued and supported everyday.

A few places I lived growing up were Thailand, Russia, Washington, and Colorado before making Texas my home in 2013!I love reading, being outside, and baking with my girls! I am married to my awesome husband, David. We have two daughters, Sadie and Taylor.

I believe that teachers and families are a team and that an open line of communication between school and home is the key to success for all students. Our goals are the same: the health, happiness, and success of your child! I can't wait to see all the ways we grow and LEARN together this year! Let’s have a great year!
