- This Spring, the Round Rock ISD Class of 2020 has the opportunity to mark their milestone moment with a Commencement Walk at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex. McNeil High School is scheduled on May 20th from time frames by last name:
8-9:30 a.m.: A-E
9:30-11 a.m.: F-K
5-6:30 p.m.: L-R
6:30-8 p.m.: S-Z
Graduates are allowed four guests from the same household. With their guests watching, and wearing their approved cap and gown, graduates will walk the football field to Pomp and Circumstance to collect their diploma cover. School principals, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores and members of the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees will be in attendance, honoring students while observing social distancing guidelines. Professional photographers will be on hand to capture the moment.
Everyone who attends should plan to practice appropriate social distancing measures. District staff will be on hand to provide direction, and cones will be set up to help those in line maintain a safe social distance. Face coverings are encouraged but will not be provided. Attendees should also be mindful that restroom access is limited and only for emergency purposes. Those who don’t feel well or are running a fever should stay home and watch the event via live stream on the Senior Commencement Walk Live Stream webpage. In accordance with Texas Education Agency guidelines, attendees will be asked a series of questions related to coronavirus symptoms and exposure to anyone testing positive for COVID-19 prior to participating.

- Round Rock ISD will also honor the Class of 2020 with virtual graduation ceremonies, which is scheduled to premiere online June 5 at 7 p.m. The virtual graduation videos will also be available to download and share on social media. Seniors will need to customize their slide with a picture and a brief message by May 15, 2020. For more information, visit herff.ly/virtualgraduation
- We are also working with the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park to hold the dates of August 6, 7 and 8 for a potential in-person graduation ceremony, if environmental circumstances and direction from local governments on large gatherings allow. As circumstances change and if restrictions change, Round Rock ISD, with guidance from health officials, may amend these plans. Our ultimate goal is to honor our proud, persistent, resilient Class of 2020 and give them the celebration they so richly deserve.
