Students visiting the library are expected to:
Sign-in on a chromebook.
Keep cell phones and air pods away in a backpack
Respect students and staff
Respect library materials
Refrain from eating, drinking, and chewing gum.
Checking out library materials
1. Students may have up to five items on their account at one time.
2. Most items are checked out for three weeks; Students with overdue books may still check out books, but all books must be turned in or paid for before the school year ends.
3. We do not charge overdue fines.
4. Students who are blocked from checking out can use our Read and Return area, which has lots of great titles. Choose what you like and take it with you; please return it when you are done, if possible.
Library Visits and Technology Use
1. Language Arts teachers regularly bring students to the library for checkout, but any student may visit the library independently during the school day with a pass from a teacher and a library purpose.
2. Before school, the library is used for a variety of purposes, but it is still considered a learning space. Students may check out materials, read silently, work on school tasks or work on our coloring pages/puzzles.
4. Printing black and white copies may be done with permission for school assignments.
5. The library is a cell phone / AirPod free zone during school hours!
How to Place a Hold on a Book that is currently checked out
1. Locate the catalog on Classlink in the Library Resources catalog. It is the Insignia app.
2. With the online catalog open your name should be in the upper right-hand corner.
3. Locate the title you would like to place on hold. The book is ONLY available to place on HOLD if it is NOT available on the shelf.
4. Click the RESERVE button.
5. You can select your account, select reserves and see your title on reserve.
*Holds are available to be placed only on books that are currently checked out.
*Holds available for a student will be delivered to the student's ELA classroom.
