Policies and Procedures

Checking out library materials

1. Students may have up to five items on their account at one time.

2. Most items are checked out for three weeks; Students with overdue books may not check out any more books until their record is clear. We do not charge overdue fines but lost/damaged books must be paid for.

3. Students who are blocked from checking out can use our Read and Return area, which has lots of great titles. Choose what you like and take it with you; please return it when you are done, if possible.

Library Visits and Technology Use

1. Language Arts teachers regularly bring students to the library for checkout but any student may visit the library independently during the school day with a pass from a teacher and a library purpose.

2. Before school, the library is used for a variety of purposes, but it is still considered a learning space. Students may check out materials, read silently, work on school tasks or work on our coloring pages/jigsaw puzzle.

4. Printing black and white copies may be done with permission for school assignments.

5. The library is a cell phone / AirPod free zone!
