Read Aloud to your student
Have your student read aloud to you
Discuss reading (see discussion questions below)
Have fun with reading and writing (think: pen pals, silly stories, etc.)
Make sure your student knows all letter names and sounds with automaticity (see chart below)
Practice spelling Heart Words at home (email your intervention teacher if you would like a grade-level/Wilson list)
Model as a family that reading is fun!
Communicate with your student's teacher if you have specific questions or concerns!
