How to Join Orchestra

Interested in joining orchestra and wondering what's next? Time to select your instrument or audition for placement if you already play!

Instrument Selection meetings for students brand new to orchestra will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the CVMS Orchestra Room. During this time, interested students who have no prior experience will have a chance to try out all of the string instruments and meet the orchestra directors! Once you've found the instrument you love the most, we'll get you signed up for the correct orchestra class and give you information about how to get an instrument as well as other useful information about getting started in orchestra.

Audition materials for students with prior playing experience (1+ years) can be found HERE. Video recorded auditions will be due April 12th, 2025. 

If you plan to submit an audition, please also complete the Audition Request Form (to ensure that you receive video audition upload instructions and guidelines).
