Vision: Canyon Vista Middle School students pursue post secondary aspirations and goals that demonstrate their growth and success academically as well as their social/emotional intelligence and skillset. They are diverse, motivated, resilient, lifelong learners with unique skills, abilities and beliefs that were fostered in our comprehensive school counseling program and which prepare them for both the local and global challenges we face today. Through the efforts of our program and stakeholders, our students are empowered to be successful world class citizens far beyond their school days that will positively contribute to an ever-changing and challenging future world.
Mission: The mission of the Canyon Vista Middle School counseling program is to create a safe environment where our international student body will experience equitable learning opportunities by helping them to become diverse, motivated, resilient, lifelong learners who are prepared to academically, socially, and emotionally impact their local and global communities in a positive, meaningful way. By intentionally coordinating with students and stakeholders, and utilizing data-driven activities and curriculum, we are able to advocate for and ensure equity, access, and success for all students. By participating in our comprehensive school counseling program, Canyon Vista Middle School students are prepared for their ambitious postsecondary goals which will enable them to positively impact the world around them far beyond their educational years.

A "RAMP" school is one that strives to support all students academically, socially, and emotionally through whole class, small group, and individual interventions. School counselors work alongside stakeholders such as administrators, teachers, parents, and community members to ensure that our students are being supported in data-driven, effective ways.
