About Mrs. Frizzell

A little about me: I am certified with the State of Texas for Pre-K through 6th grade, English as a Second Language, and Gifted and Talented. I also hold an Associate's Degree in English and have recently completed my Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in gifted and talented. This is my ninth year with the district and am enjoying my fifth year here at Callison. I continue working to improve my Spanish in order to serve our population better. I present and train for the district and present about giftedness regularly at the state conference. I appreciate the opportunities to share what I have learned about giftedness to help our teachers and parents.

My husband, Troy, and I have been married for almost twenty-eight years and have lived in Austin for most of that time. We have two children who attended all of their formative years in Round Rock schools, while participating in the TAG program. They are now both gifted adults navigating college and adulthood. My daughter has been attending UT Austin, and my son goes to Rice University. We are very proud of them!

I love spending time with my family as well as my many brothers and sisters in the Houston area. (I am one of seven children!) If I am not reading about giftedness and psychology, I may be found with a large epic fantasy in my hand. I love a variety of music and food and am very glad that Austin has so many new artists and restaurants to discover.

Thank you for loaning me your children! It is my honor to teach them.
