My name is Jennifer VanCuran. I teach K-5th Intervention. This is my 22nd year teaching and 5th year at Callison Elementary. I have been married to my husband, David, for 23 years. We are originally from Buffalo, NY but moved away from the cold in 2001. We have 3 children; our daughter, Brittney attends UT, our oldest son Matthew attends University of Houston and our youngest son, Zachary, is a sophomore at East View High School. When enjoy taking our 2 dogs to the park, hiking and taking mini trips to the beach. I look forward to getting to know your child.

My name is Liza Vargas and I teach K-5th Intervention. This is my 19th year teaching and my 10th year at Callison. I've been teaching here since the school opened in 2008. The amazing staff and students is what keeps me coming back every year. My husband and I are originally from El Paso and moved here 18 years ago. We have two children, Evan who is in 8th grade at Ridgeview Middle School, and Brooke who is currently pursuing a career in Real Estate. We enjoy watching football and LOVE our Cowboys and Fighting Irish.
My name is Theresa Duffy and I teach K-5th math intervention. This is my 14th year teaching and my 9th year at Callison. I have a wonderful husband "Bill" and we have been married for 26 years. We have two sons Malachi and Owen. Malachi is a graduate of RRHS and Texas A&M. He is a chemical engineer at Occidental Petroleum. Owen is also a graduate from RRHS. He is a student at Austin Community College. As a family we love visiting National Parks. My favorite has been Yellowstone. I look forward to working with Callison students.
My name is Karen Guttag, and I am a Kindergarten through 5th grade intervention teacher and also the dyslexia teacher here at Callison. I have been at Callison for 3 years, and before that I taught in the Dallas and Houston areas. I have taken special training in dyslexia instruction at SMU/Plano and earned my certification and Texas licensure as a dyslexia therapist.
My husband and I have been married for 32 years and we have 2 sons, both of whom have their Masters in Electrical Engineering. We also have 2 dogs and 2 turtles.

My name is Rebecca Saucedo and I am a dual language interventionist for students in grades Kinder-Fifth. This is my tenth year at Callison School. I chose this field because I am passionate about teaching and love working with children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching Longhorn football.

My name is Pamela Nagar and I am the PreK-5th Behavior Interventionist. This is my 17th year teaching and my 10th year at Callison. I grew up near Tuscaloosa, Alabama (Roll Tide!!), lived in Northern California for 13 years, and moved to Austin in 2005. My husband, Vivek, and I have been married for 25 years and have two children, Rohan and Asha. My goal is to help students learn how to effectively communicate their needs and work cooperatively with their teachers and classmates. We focus on emotional regulation, conflict resolution, goal setting, and making responsible decisions.
