U.S. History

This course is about the history of the United States from 1877 to the present. Students will have many opportunities to practice reasoning and communication skills through activities such as primary source analysis, simulations, discussion, and debate.

In US History the students will:

• Understand the changing role of individuals and government over time by identifying economic, social, political, and environmental changes and patterns.

• Understand the major eras in U.S. history from 1877 to the present and describe their defining characteristics

               ...and much, much more!

All 11th graders take the US History STAAR exam in April.
