If your student must sit out during PE class for a health/injury related reason, please send a doctor's note or a parent note with your student. Be advised, parent notes are only accepted for 3 days. Anytime after that we require a doctors note. If you cannot send a note, contact the coach as soon as possible.
We are aware that many of our students (and teachers) have serious allergies throughout the school year. However, due to the number of students in PE per teacher, we cannot permit students to stay inside during PE unless a doctor's note is provided. We then will find an alternative place for them to go during the times we are outside.Â
To ensure the safety and success of all students, we ask that your child MUST wear closed-toe tennis shoes to PE.
Your student attends PE 3 days a week, either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please check with your student's teacher to see what days they attend.
Students who wear boots, sandals, flip-flops, or any shoe with a heal, may be asked to sit out during certain activities. Student participation grades may be negatively impacted if they sit out on multiple occasions due to improper shoes.
*If your student would like to wear something other than tennis shoes, please also pack a pair of tennis shoes in their backpack to change into before PE.
