My Teaching Philosophy

• I believe that an effective classroom maintains a safe and positive environment in which high-quality teaching and learning occur.

• Establishing and maintaining effective communication with and among students are keys to classroom management.

• A successful relationship is built upon seven connecting habits which Glasser identifies as caring, listening, supporting, contributing, encouraging, trusting, and befriending.

• By providing developmentally appropriate opportunities to exercise choice and demonstrate responsibility, will promote a sense of personal responsibility among students.
