BIM stands for Business Information Management. It is a full year course which gives students a working knowledge of computers and prepares them to be proficient in business applications using the Microsoft Office Suite. This program allows students the opportunity to learn office skills using individualized and group instruction. BIM I is designed to assist students in keyboarding skills that will help improve productivity. We will be using Microsoft Office 2016 for our applications.
The following areas are explored:
Technology and Business Acumen - Students will learn key business concepts and common language for a business environment.
Word Processing Skills using MS Word - Students are taught advanced word processing skills including formatting, proofreading, desktop publishing and mail merge.

BIM I's curriculum is driven by technology. Sometimes students work quicker than expected, and other times the computers run more slowly than expected. Therefore, all calendars are rough estimates of what we are going to be doing. Students are given assignments and will be told of any changes. I will make an effort to update the website.
