Howdy! My name is Andrea Plowman and this is my 29th year of loving what I do and my 10th year at Blackland Prairie. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have a minor in geography, so my love for maps, cultures, and just being aware of the world around us might make it home to you in a "Did you know...?" kind of fact sharing from your child.
I enjoy gardening when it's cooler. Roma tomatoes were my only successful plant and I have been in a years long battle with squirrels and my lone peach tree. Currently the squirrel is winning 100+ to 3. I also enjoy traveling, experimenting with new recipes, sewing, and thrift shopping. This was my summer of travels! I went to Oahu, Hawaii and zip lined for the first time ever. Wow!
I love to watch sports of any kind, especially any involving my beloved Aggies. Whoop! I also enjoy fishing with my dad. We are due to take another fishing trip in the fall to Port Aransas. I heard the fishing is great this year! I'm really looking forward to a great year working with your child at Blackland Prairie Elementary!
We can smile when we finally reached the top of Diamond Head.
