Howdy Armadillos!
My name is Garrett Rimey, and I am excited to be one of the counselors at Anderson Mill this year. I will primarily work with PK, K, 1, and 5th grade, but I am here for all students upon request or need. As the school counselor, I provide social and emotional recognition and regulation skills to the students. I am originally from Chicago, IL, and I moved here to attend the University of Texas at Austin to earn my master's degree in school counseling. I have over 14 years of experience in education and eight years as a school counselor. I have two daughters and a wife who also attend/work at AME, and we enjoy watching UT Football and Austin FC games.

Marta Nepi
Counselor (part-time): 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade
Hello students and families!
My name is Marta Nepi, and I’m excited to begin my first year at Anderson Mill!
This year, I’ll primarily be supporting students in grades 2, 3, and 4, but I’m here for all students and will work with any child who may need it. As a school counselor, I provide classroom lessons, as well as individual and group counseling, to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
A little about me: I was born and raised in Italy, and first came to the U.S. as a high school foreign exchange student. I later returned to pursue my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Texas State University, which led me to call Texas home. In my free time, I’m an avid reader and enjoy spending time outdoors, especially going on long walks with my husband when the Texas weather allows!
I’m grateful to be part of the Anderson Mill community and am looking forward to a year full of connection, growth, and advocacy for our awesome students.
