Abbott Engineering

Who am I?

My name is Mitchell Abbott, your engineering teacher for Principles of Engineering (POE) and Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA). This will be my first full year teaching, and my first year teaching Engineering. We are going to cover a lot of really exciting material over the next year whether you are in POE or CEA it's all cool. In my class you'll get to work hands on with real industry tools and software in an environment that fosters creativity and exploring. It is my promise to you that you will be treated with respect and as an individual when you are within my walls.

Be Respectful. Be Kind.

My Hobbies and Interests

In my personal time I like to do all things social and outdoors. Pictured above is me spelunking in Wynn cave, located in Slaughter Canyon New Mexico. Notable things I enjoy are Caving, Rock Climbing, Hiking/ Camping, Board Games, Video Games, Lasagna, and Cheese Cake.

My Education and Experience

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelors of Science in Engineering for Industrial Distribution and a minor in Business. Pictured above is me and my parents at my graduation. For 3 years I worked for A&M as an Audio/Visual Technician and Tech Support specialist. Since then I have gotten my Alternative Teaching Certification during which I taught Biology and Chemistry at Akins HS in south austin. Today I find myself here at Round Rock my Alma Matter teaching the very same Engineering classes that guided me towards Engineering in college.
