My name is Mitchell Abbott, your engineering teacher for Intro to Engineering Design (IED) or Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA) or Aerospace Engineering (AE). This is my third year at RRHS. . This will be my third year at Round Rock. We are going to cover a lot of really exciting material over the next year whether you are in IED, CEA, or AE. In my class, you'll get to work hands-on with real industry tools and software in an environment that fosters creativity and exploration. It is my promise to you that you will be treated with respect and as an individual when you are within my walls.
Be Respectful. Be Kind.
In my personal time, I like to do all things social and outdoors. Pictured above is me spelunking in Wynn cave, located in Slaughter Canyon New Mexico. Notable things I enjoy are Caving, Rock Climbing, Hiking/ Camping, Board Games, Video Games, Lasagna, and Cheese Cake.Â
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering for Industrial Distribution and a minor in Business. Pictured above is me and my parents at my graduation. For 3 years I worked for A&M as an Audio/Visual Technician and Tech Support specialist. Since then I have gotten my Alternative Teaching Certification during which I taught Biology and Chemistry at Akins HS in south Austin. Today I find myself here at Round Rock my Alma Matter teaching the very same Engineering classes that guided me towards Engineering in college.
