Students will show work on all assignments and tests.
Students need to turn homework in on time. All assignments are due on the expected day.
Students will come to class with all of their supplies (binder, ISN or composition notebook, pencils & pencil bag, homework, tape, glue).
Students will ask for help and/or attend tutorials if it is needed. See the tutorial schedule.
Students will ask questions and participate in class.
Students will be given an opportunity to retake a test and redo a quiz or any failing assignment for a maximum grade of 70% credit. Tutorials will be required for any test retakes.
The following may be seen as student’s grades in the grade book.
0 - Work not turned in or no answers were correct.
M - Work was not turned in.
BLANK- Work is unsubmitted or grades have not been submitted from Schoology.
Check Home Access Center (HAC) to see any missing or failed assignments as this is where grades will be most up to date.
Weekly homework is assigned on Monday and will be due by Friday. All problems must have work shown on notebook paper or the paper version of the homework to receive full credit. Students will have two opportunities to complete the homework for maximum credit if it's turned in by the due date.
On major assignments, a deduction of 10 points will be applied. On daily grades, a deduction of 10 points may be applied. Assignments must be turned in before a unit is complete in order to receive credit. No work will be accepted after the unit test.
When the student is absent, it is the student's responsibility to obtain any missed work or notes the day the student returns. The absent work should be done before or after school or during Advisory, but not during class.
Any scheduled class work, homework, test or quiz will be due on the day the student returns to class.
If a student misses a considerable amount of time from class, the student is responsible for scheduling an appointment with the teacher to discuss the missing work. Extra help will be provided.
There will be absolutely NO tolerance for cheating in any form. Cheating is giving or receiving unauthorized aid on any assignment. It is important that students do their own work to maximize their learning. Cooperative effort, not copying, is allowed only on homework and class activities unless otherwise indicated.
If a student is caught with academic dishonesty, the highest they can have is 50% on the assignment.
