TVE doors open at 7:10 am. Students are expected to be on time and will be marked tardy if they arrive after 7:35. Use this link to report an absence. All notes (paper or digital) must be submitted within 5 days of the student’s return to school.
After 2:30, we are able to pass out a birthday treat. We cannot pass out party invitations of any kind. If a child passes out invitations, they must be to everyone in their homeroom only. No invitations can be delivered to students in other classes. Treats can be brought in by the student or left down in the front office to be delivered, but deliveries must be sent to the teacher, and not to the student.
House Bill 1481 takes effect this school year and requires all Texas school districts to prohibit students from using "personal wireless communication devices," which the law defines as “any wireless electronic communication device, other than a device provided to students by a school for instructional purposes, capable of transmitting and/or receiving data.” Items that must now be put away on Round Rock ISD campuses from bell to bell: personal cell phones, tablets, gaming devices, smart watches, bluetooth headphones or earbuds, fitness trackers that can send or receive messages, personal (non-district-issued) computers, two-way radios, pagers, and any other device capable of digital communication. Devices must be stored out of sight and not in use during school hours Students will receive a warning for a first infraction. Continued violations may result in the confiscation of the item. The law is designed to support student learning, reduce distractions, and limit the potential for cyberbullying. To help students adjust, families are encouraged to speak with their students about this change and perhaps consider practicing being device-free at home.
Arrival: The front parking lot is for buses and permit parking only from 7:00 - 7:35 am and 2:30 - 3:15 pm. If you feel you should have a permit to park here, please check with the front office. All others will be asked to use the car rider lane or park in the side parking lot.
Dismissal: We are using an app, iDismiss, to help smooth our dismissal process. All students will be assigned a number and a dismissal tag to use.
If students are drive through , the parents will have that tag on their dashboard every time they arrive to pick up their child. We will enter their child's' number in the app and that will allow us to dismiss their child. Students will be waiting in the cafeteria for their name to be called. There will be no merging into the drive through line; the cars will wrap around the school.
If a student is a bus rider/daycare/independent walker/YMCA, they will still receive a tag to use just in case their dismissal changes in the future.
Look up your child's bus route here and find out about Smart Tags.
It is required that your child wears or brings tennis shoes on the days they have PE. If the weather is uncertain, please have them bring a jacket or umbrella.
At all times and in all places, students are expected to be safe, respectful, and proactive. To help students meet expectations, teachers use:
Respect agreements
Class mission statements
Clear verbal reminders
Practice
Positive reinforcement
Proximity
If students are not meeting expectations, teachers may continue to use these strategies or the following:
Message home (this may include a request for a meeting)
Contact another teacher, a counselor, or an administrator

Effective August 2024. over-the-counter medication (including ibuprofen, acetaminophen, oral or topical allergy medication, and cough suppressants) needs a physician's signature and a parent/guardian signature to be administered by a nurse. Any over-the-counter medications brought in with a parent signature, but without a physician’s signature, will be administered by a trained campus staff member delegated by the campus principal. Follow this link to find all RRISD medical forms and resources. Students and teachers are not permitted to call or email home if a student is sick, the nurse must make that phone call.
