Mrs. Nomura

Hi! My name is Jessica Nomura and I love being part of the 3rd grade team at Sommer Elementary. This year is going to be a challenging, fun year for all of us!

I grew up in Pflugerville, TX and attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Austin.  I attended Pflugerville High School and graduated from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State)  with a degree in Recreation Administration. After college, I enjoyed working with kids in recreational settings. I soon found a career at Life Time Fitness as their Kids Activities Manager. After 3 1/2 years at LTF, I decided to pursue a career change into education. I became an ESL assistant at Walsh Middle School during the 2014-2015 school year and completed my teaching certification.  This is my 8th year at Patsy Sommer and I am super excited for another fabulous year.

When I’m not working, I enjoy being spending time with my family (Husband Mark, daughter Izzie, son Hunter, and daughter Hadley). We enjoy doing anything outdoors and I enjoy working out!
