The oldest of three girls and an Air Force Brat, I grew up traveling the globe with my family—much like Moana, always ready to see “how far I’ll go.” Our adventures around the world enriched my education and allowed me to appreciate and experience many different cultures. Along the way, just like Belle in *Beauty and the Beast*, I discovered that every place holds a story, and my love for teaching began to grow. After graduating from high school in Okinawa, Japan, I pursued my passion for working with children. I attended Texas State University, earning my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies–Early Childhood. Teaching has allowed me to be a bit like Mary Poppins—bringing curiosity, joy, and just a little bit of magic into the classroom. When I’m not teaching, I treasure time with my family. My son, Nick, is a senior at Texas A&M, and my husband, Mark, and I are incredibly proud of him. We love visiting College Station to cheer on our Texas Aggies—though our fur baby, Jasper, probably feels like Olaf in *Frozen* when we’re gone, missing his warm hugs from his best friend.I also enjoy reading like Belle, exploring the world like Jasmine, savoring great food like Remy from *Ratatouille*, relaxing by the lake like Pocahontas, and, most importantly, spending time with the people I love—because like *Lilo & Stitch* taught us, “ʻOhana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.”
