What is Project Graduation?

Project Graduation is a large-scale all-night event created to promote a safe, supervised, alcohol and drug-free evening for all graduating seniors. The night is complete with all kinds of food, gifts, and entertainment  (silent disco, DJ, hypnotist, casino, & much more) throughout the night at Westwood High School from 10pm-5am on graduation day May 22, 2025. The event is FREE for every senior to attend!

Why do we have Project Graduation?

According to the National Institutes of Health, excessive drinking is responsible for more than 4,300 deaths among underage youth each year – most occurring around prom and graduation. Graduates often “party hop”’ to celebrate with as many of their classmates as possible. Project Graduation provides a safe alternative to party hopping by keeping our graduates off the roads and ensuring our Westwood graduates do not become a part of these frightening statistics. 

Who organizes Project Graduation?

A dedicated team of volunteers work all year to make sure the event is a success. Please email us if you are interested in volunteering and watch for emails announcing volunteer opportunities for the night of the event. Interested in volunteering? Click here to fill out our volunteer form.

Who pays for Project Graduation?

This is an expensive undertaking, so we must count on the support of our families, friends, and corporate community to donate money, food, and time to make Project Graduation a success. It is very easy to donate to Westwood Project Graduation (a 501(c)3 nonprofit):  

• Become a Sponsor by choosing one of our donor recognition levels under the “Sponsor/Donate” menu. You can choose to donate in your business’ name or as your family. Or you can simply make a donation for any amount.

• Support our fundraisers, such as buying a Senior Yard sign

• Send a check payable to “Westwood Project Graduation” and mail to: PO Box 200215, Austin Texas 78720
