NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a special election has been called in and for Independent School District No. 850 (Rothsay Public School), State of Minnesota, on

Tuesday, November 4, 2025,

For the purpose of voting on the following question. The combined polling place is located at 

Rothsay Public School

Media Center

2040 County Road 52

Rothsay, MN 56579

Any eligible voter residing in the School District may vote at said election at the combined polling location.

A voter must be registered to vote to be eligible to vote in this election. An unregistered individual may register to vote at the combined polling place on election day.

Passage of School District Question 1 will result in an increase in your property taxes.

The annual dollar increases for typical residential homesteads, apartments, and commercial-industrial properties within the School District are as shown in the table below.

For agricultural property, the taxes for School District Question 1 will be based on the value of the house, garage and surrounding one acre of land only.

Rothsay School is the center of our community. It is a point of pride. It is a focal point for all that is great about Rothsay and the surrounding townships. This is an important community decision.
