Thursday Events

Overview

The 18ers season runs from March through mid-November on Thursdays.  Registration for all events is done through Golf Genius.  

The season includes:

1. Thursday Play Days: a variety of fun game formats are played on Thursdays. Flight winners are paid through dues.

2. Special Events: these include Invitational, Blue & Red, Halloween Bash, Guest Days, Charity events, and others designated by the Board.  Fees for meals and prizes are collected from players to support these events.  Volunteers are always needed to help with these events.  

3. Major Tournaments: There are three major tournaments where the winners are paid through dues (Handicap, Classic, and Club Championship).

4. Open Day, EBTP and DVTP:   18ers host these events for outside clubs.  A special call for volunteers to help with logistics and set up is sent out a few weeks before the event.

Schedule 

The Thursday Schedule lists all play days and special events.   The Club Calendar includes aeration dates, board meetings, play days and special events.  Dates and room reservations will be confirmed and updated as changes occur throughout the season. 

Golf Genius (GG) Mobile Scoring

Mobile scoring is now required for all 18er Thursday playdays.  More information and the QR code is available on the GG Mobile App button. 

GHIN App

Thursday scores are posted by the Golf Shop unless indicated otherwise.  You are responsible to post your scores at other times when you play at Rossmoor or elsewhere. More information about posting your score and the QR code is available on the GHIN app button. 

Social Volunteer 

All activities of the Rossmoor Women’s 18 Hole Golf Club are supported by volunteers from our membership.  Volunteers can assist in Social Event planning (game format, selection of caterers, purchasing supplies), checking in golfers, setting up & decorating, and/or cleaning up after events.  A call for volunteers is made 2-3 weeks prior to the event.
