Classes Taught: 6th, 7th and 8th Grade
About: I have been teaching since 2007 and started at Ross in 2020.
I love teaching and the best part about it is supporting you as you grow as a learner. I am on your team and am here to help you be a successful student in and out of Spanish class. My hope is to have a good time, while we work together to enhance your language skills and proficiency as a Spanish student and as a scholar.
I have a B.A. in World Languages and Cultures with an emphasis in Spanish from CSUMB. During my undergrad time I continued my learning of Spanish and Spanish culture while studying during a year abroad at the University of Granada, Spain. I fell in love with Spain and have been back several times. Post graduation I studied at language school in Antigua, Guatemala and spent a summer volunteering in the rural communities of the Dominican Republic. I hold a single subject credential for Spanish as well as a multiple subject credential. I also hold a Masters in Education.
In 2023, I started taking students on a service trip to Costa Rica with the company Global Works. The purpose of this trip is to immerse oneself in a new culture, practice speaking Spanish, earn service hours through service learning and go on adventures. This is a non-school sponsored trip.
