EC After School Club (PK3–PK4)
This after-school experience gives PK3 and PK4 students a warm and familiar place to unwind and play at the end of the school day. Students remain in their own EC classroom spaces, surrounded by the people and routines they already know. They're welcome to build in the block room, explore self-serve easel stations, and enjoy their classroom libraries, using the resources and play spaces already familiar to them to extend their learning in new ways. Supported by our EC faculty, students enjoy much of what our K–3 Ross After School Club offers, thoughtfully adapted for three- and four-year-olds.
After School Club (K–3)
Ross After School Club is a welcoming afternoon program that gives students a place to build friendships and enjoy a variety of fun, active, and creative activities at the end of the school day. Students also have access to support from a Ross faculty member for any schoolwork they'd like help with along the way. Each afternoon, students move into a different activity, opening up opportunities to explore new interests, stay active, and connect with friends in a warm, supervised setting.
Amazing Athletes
Soccer Stars partners with Amazing Athletes to bring multi-sport fun to our youngest athletes in a safe, structured, and encouraging environment. Each week, coaches introduce Ross Kindergarten and Grade 1 students to a new sport or activity, building coordination, teamwork, and confidence one game at a time. Over the course of the program, children are exposed to 10 different sports and activities, giving them a well-rounded athletic foundation as they discover what they love. Beyond the games themselves, coaches use every session as a chance to talk with kids about what it means to lead a healthy, active lifestyle and to lay down habits that will serve them well beyond the field.
Basketball Workshop
This recreational Basketball Program is a fun and engaging way for kids to stay active, improve their basketball skills, and make new friends. Held on Saturdays, the program offers friendly competition and team-based activities, all while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and fitness. Whether your child is new to the game or looking to sharpen their skills, this program provides a positive, supportive environment for players of all levels.
Butter Lane Workshop
This after-school program invites students in grades 4–6 to explore construction, gardening, and problem-solving through hands-on, collaborative projects shaped by their own interests and ideas. Together, students will help determine the focus of their work—whether that’s designing and building garden beds, reimagining farm spaces, or identifying meaningful campus improvements they want to tackle. Along the way, they will develop practical skills such as measuring, hammering, sawing, planning, and planting, while deepening their understanding of sustainability and the real-world impact of their efforts.
Blending creativity, agency, and real-world learning, this program empowers students to experiment with tools, dig into gardening, and collaborate on projects that matter to them. Whether planting new crops, constructing a structure, or problem-solving side by side with friends, participants will build confidence, perseverance, and teamwork skills. Each session will leave them feeling ownership over what they’ve created—and excited to imagine what they might build next.
Chess with Master Ulysses Tapley!
Dive into the exciting world of chess with our after-school program led by expert Ulysses Tapley. It's more than just chess; it's a training ground for critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Studies show chess boosts cognitive abilities, memory, concentration, and logical thinking. Our curriculum covers tactics, strategy, and endgame skills, enhancing both brainpower and social skills. Color Pop Mixed Media
This dynamic, hands-on class is perfect for young artists who want to explore a wide range of art mediums and techniques while building strong creative foundations. Students begin by developing essential drawing skills like line, shape, and value, then expand into color and composition through painting, mixed-media collage, and printmaking. As the semester progresses, they’ll dive into three- dimensional forms with our sculpture unit, learning how to bring their ideas to life in new ways.
The course culminates in a final project that brings together the various techniques they’ve accumulated to provide a deeper understanding of applying their skills in personal artistic expression. From experimenting with cyanotypes and sewing to creating plaster reliefs, children will be introduced to unique materials rarely offered in traditional classrooms, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and creative problem-solving.
Color Pop Storybook Creations
This playful and engaging class introduces our youngest artists to the magic of storytelling through art! Each week, children will explore a new picture book and bring the story to life through a hands-on, mixed media project inspired by its characters, themes, and imagery. From painting and collage to simple printmaking and sculpture, students will experiment with a variety of materials while developing fine motor skills, creativity, and self-expression. Projects are designed to be age-appropriate, sensory-rich, and process-focused—encouraging curiosity and imagination in a supportive environment. Perfect for little ones who love stories, colors, and getting their hands busy creating!
Cyber Ravens
Cyber Ravens is a competitive robotics team that challenges students to design, build, and program robots to compete in regional and national competitions. Working collaboratively, team members apply STEM skills in engineering, coding, and problem-solving while tackling real-world challenges. Beyond technical skills, students also develop leadership, teamwork, and strategic thinking as they prepare their robots for high-level performance in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
Golf
Welcome to the Grades 4–5 Golf Club! This program is designed to introduce young golfers to the fundamentals of the game in a fun and supportive environment. Whether your child is new to golf or looking to improve their skills, this club will focus on developing key techniques, building confidence, and fostering a love for the game.
Gymnastics and Tumbling
Our tumbling classes focus on the fundamentals of gymnastics, incorporating a mix of exercises, challenges, and games to build both physical and mental strength. Techniques are honed through consistent practice, aiming to show children their inherent strength and resilience in a sport they love. We encourage exploring different movement styles to find one that resonates with each child, enhancing confidence and instilling values like dedication and perseverance.
Hip Hop Dance with Our Fabulous Variety Show (OFVS)
Move to the rhythm of contemporary culture in our energetic Hip Hop Dance program, welcoming students to explore self-expression through dynamic movement. This program introduces fundamental hip hop techniques, rhythm awareness, and choreographic elements while building physical coordination, confidence, and cultural appreciation. Students learn age-appropriate dance moves, develop musicality, and experience the joy of collaborative performance in a supportive, inclusive environment. Beyond physical skill development, hip hop dance enhances students' ability to follow complex sequences, work as part of an ensemble, and express individual creativity within structured formats. Our curriculum emphasizes respect for hip hop's cultural origins while making this art form accessible to all participants regardless of prior dance experience. Each session combines skill-building with creative exploration, culminating in opportunities for students to showcase their progress and celebrate their growth as confident movers and performers. Please note: This program will be held at the OFVS Studio at 44 Meadow Way in East Hampton. Transportation will be provided to the studio. Parents will be responsible for picking students up from the studio.
Fashion Design
In Fashion Design Club, students explore their creativity through sewing and design. From sketching ideas to stitching fabrics, members will learn the basics of fashion construction while creating their own unique pieces. This hands-on club encourages self-expression, collaboration, and confidence as students bring their style visions to life.
Jewelry Making Club
The Youth Jewelry Making Club is a creative, hands-on program where students can express their personal style while learning fun and practical design skills. Participants will explore different jewelry-making techniques such as beading, wire wrapping, charms, and bracelet/necklace design.
Mathletes & Coding: Future Innovators
This dynamic after-school program is tailored for advanced students with a keen interest in mathematics and computer science. Designed for students in Grades 3–5, this program is also open to younger students with acumen in mathematics and a passion for STEAM learning. Participants are prepared for competitive success in the Mathletes competitions and the VEX Robotics challenges. Through rigorous instruction and practical, hands-on activities, students will enhance their mathematical reasoning and coding abilities, equipping them for excellence in these exciting competitions and beyond.
Music Expression Session
The “Expression Session” is a dynamic music program designed to guide young musicians as they explore the power of music and creativity. Through interactive sessions that blend storytelling with hands-on activities, children engage in music-making using percussion instruments, chant rhythms, and dance with silk fairies, enriching their understanding and expression of love and peace. Highlighting the profound impact of their creations, children share how their music has touched lives, reinforcing the theme of unity and the belief that music can truly unite the world. This program is a celebration of creativity and communal harmony, inspiring young minds to become ambassadors of peace.
Run Club
Run Club is a fun and energetic after-school program where students build endurance, strength, and confidence through running. Each session includes warm-ups, running games, and distance challenges designed to improve fitness while making running enjoyable. The club promotes teamwork, goal-setting, and a lifelong love of staying active.
Study Skills
Our after-school Study Skills program is designed specifically for students in Grades 3–5. In this program, families work closely with our committed faculty to help their children develop essential academic and executive functioning skills. Students participating in the Study Skills program receive focused attention and support aimed at cultivating key study habits and organizational skills vital to their academic success.
Super Soccer Stars
Volleyball
Our Volleyball Program offers a dynamic and team-focused environment for learning volleyball skills, understanding game rules, and embracing teamwork. Participants will sharpen their skills through gameplay-like scenarios and can also enhance their learning at several weekend clinics. The curriculum begins with basic techniques such as underhand serving and passing and then progresses to advanced skills, including overhand serving, setting, spiking, and blocking. A strong emphasis on game strategy, understanding team roles, and effective communication equips young athletes to excel on and off the court while promoting collaboration and respect.
