Grief Resources for Students/Families




Sonoma County Grief Counseling

Sutter Care at Home and St. Joseph Health are free, community-based grief services. In addition, consider counseling supports available through your health insurance, or contact your school administration, counselor or psychologist about other local supports.

Sutter Care at Home Bereavement & Grief Support:

The bereavement and grief support programs are open to the public and provide support for adults, young adults and children who have experienced a loss.

Individual counseling is available, as well as community education and training.

St. Joseph Health Hospice Grief Services:

Hospice Services of St. Joseph Health offers individual and group support to those who have experienced the death or are anticipating the death of a loved one.

Grief Counseling provided by licensed counselors, interns and/or trained grief support volunteers.

Services are provided at no cost.
