Course Description:

The Job Skills course is designed to increase student knowledge of the skills needed to gain and maintain a job related to individual strengths and preferences. The course is designed to increase knowledge of skills needed in the workplace (hygiene, communication, interpersonal, etc).

Objective:

The course is customized based on individual strengths and target areas as identified in the student’s IEP. The goal for each student is to increase skills at his/her level of functioning.

Materials:

The course utilizes a variety of hands on experiences - AR store, teacher created materials, teachers pay teachers curriculum, Life Skills Series (Classroom Complete Press, 2011), Remedia publications,

Grading System:

Grading is based on each student’s Individual Education Plan.
