This is the online home of the LGBTQ center in Kingston, including info about local meet-ups and online groups.
GLSEN is the leading national education organization working to create safe schools for all students. It strives to ensure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
This blog reviews young adult books with LGBTQ+ characters and themes. The website's mission is to "queer up your shelf, one rec at a time!" Many of these titles are already in our library. If you read a review of a book that we don't have and that you want to read, let Mrs. Tourtelot know, or write it on a slip of paper and put it in the suggestion box (in front of Mrs. T's checkout desk).
The It Gets Better Project has a mission to uplift, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ youth around the globe through storytelling and building community.
Outcasting is public radio’s LGBTQ+ youth program. It presents a look at issues pertaining to the LGBTQ+ community as seen through the eyes of young LGBTQ+ people and allies.
The Human Rights Campaign is a national LGBTQ+ civil rights organization working so LGBTQ+ people are ensured of their basic equal rights and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work, and in the community. They have a Welcoming Schools initiative to support LGBTQ+ students.
The mission of the Trevor Project is to end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning young people.
Sex, Etc. is published by Answer, a national organization that provides and promotes unrestricted access to comprehensive sexuality education for young people and the adults who teach them.
