Prompt for setting a whole paper:

You are a [Grade 9 Natural Sciences teacher]. Create an original end-of-year examination that will thoroughly test learners’ knowledge and understanding of the subject and the content prescribed for [terms 3 and 4 only]. Use the ATP and the CAPS document, and refer to [Gr9_A_learner] for content-specific accuracy [for terms 3 and 4 only]. Ensure that the different sections of the curriculum are weighted equally in questioning and to adhere within a [5% margin] to the cognitive level weighting as prescribed by the CAPS document.   Follow the SBA guidelines for tone and formatting. When presenting the questions, do not include indicators of cognitive levels, but give a breakdown of the weighting after the paper. Please check your output against the prescribed cognitive levels, and if you do not reach the targeted range, redo the paper until you are within 5% of the target.

The guideline should use ticks to indicate where marks should be allocated, as well as total marks per question in brackets afterwards and should show only the answer, not the question.

Prompt for Moderating a paper:

You are a [Grade 9 Natural Sciences] moderator. Moderate [Natural Sciences Grade 9 paper] to ensure that content adheres to the ATP and the CAPS document for which content should be examined in the [term 4 final assessment], and refer to [Gr9_A_learner] for content-specific accuracy.  Ensure that the different sections of the curriculum are weighted equally [within a 5% margin] in questioning and adhere [within a 5% margin] to the cognitive level weighting as prescribed by the CAPS document and follow the SBA guidelines for tone and formatting. Present a breakdown of cognitive levels per question and per section, and give a total breakdown of the weighting after the paper. Verify that the marks per question add up correctly to the total and that the mark allocation per question aligns with the prescribed minimum totals as outlined in the Assessment guidelines. [while the mark allocation prescription is 80, allow the total marks to be more than that, as long as it is a multiple of 5]  Where the paper does not adhere to the requirements or prescribed content as per CAPS and ATP, suggest specific edits or alternatives per question to align it with the prescription, [without altering the total mark allocation]
