At RASTA, membership is about belonging to a collective force for change. It is about breaking down the walls of exclusivity and creating spaces where everyone—from the wealthiest philanthropist to the person experiencing homelessness—has the opportunity to engage meaningfully in art and social justice. 

Our Grassroots Membership Program is designed to be an accessible, fluid, and inclusive experience, reflecting our commitment to equity. We don’t just want members; we want collaborators, visionaries, and advocates—people who care about creating a world where art uplifts everyone, and social transformation is possible. 

Values-Based Membership Tiers 

RASTA’s membership program is not structured by wealth or prestige but by a shared commitment to equity, art, and justice. Whether you contribute $5 or $500, your voice, ideas, and presence are equally valued. Our membership tiers represent different modes of participation and collaboration, rather than levels of privilege.

The Pay-What-You-Can Model 

RASTA’s unique Pay-What-You-Can model ensures that no one is excluded based on financial barriers. We believe in the inherent value of every individual’s contributions—whether monetary, time-based, or through ideas and creativity. Members can choose to contribute financially or offer their time and talents. This model embodies our belief that equity means valuing each person equally, regardless of economic resources. 

For those who cannot offer financial contributions, we provide opportunities to contribute by volunteering at events, assisting with installations, sharing stories, or offering expertise in areas such as event planning, communication, or outreach. 

Core Benefits (All Tiers): 

   A Seat at the Table:

Members are invited to community input sessions, where everyone can help shape RASTA’s projects, programs, and initiatives. Every voice matters equally, creating a collective direction for RASTA. 

Amplifying Voices:

We recognize and uplift the stories of our members. Whether it’s a donor, a volunteer, or someone who contributes ideas, RASTA will feature member stories through our social media, newsletters, and events. 

Sliding Scale Event Pricing: 

Members receive access to all RASTA events at a sliding scale price (e.g., $5 for seekers, $10 for advocates, or free for those who volunteer). This ensures that everyone, regardless of financial capacity, can engage in our cultural programming. 

Creative Reciprocity: 

Each member receives a piece of original art (such as a postcard or small print) created by local artists, symbolizing that art belongs to everyone. These pieces will be created by those in the community, for the community, creating a cycle of art and connection.  

RASTA Movement Participation: 

Each member gains access to RASTA Movement events, including group discussions on art and justice, volunteer days, and special hands-on workshops where members actively participate in co-creating public art. 

Expanded Benefits for Higher Engagement 

While every membership is meaningful, those who contribute more time, resources, or energy are recognized with expanded benefits that create deeper engagement with RASTA’s mission. 

Advocate Tier ($35+ or Volunteer): 

All core benefits. 

Member-Only Art Experiences: 

Early access to participatory art installations, performances, and exhibitions. 

Ally Tier ($100+): 

All previous benefits. 

Recognition: 

Public acknowledgment of your support in RASTA’s annual report and at community events. 

Behind-the-Scenes Access: 

Invitations to special behind-the-scenes tours of RASTA’s public art projects and sneak peeks into upcoming work. 

Visionary Tier ($250+): 

All previous benefits. 

Visionary Circle Membership:

Exclusive access to intimate gatherings with artists, community leaders, and activists for discussions on art as a tool for social change. 

Liberator Tier ($500+): 

All previous benefits.

An exclusive personalized experience with RASTA artists (e.g., an art workshop, private studio tour, or custom art consultation).
