Angela Muñoz has a Masters of Theological Studies in the area of Biblical Studies from the Franciscan School of Theology. Her thesis was an exploration of the homosexuality teachings in the Letters of St. Paul. During graduate study she was an active member of the first LGBTQ Roman Catholic student group called Adsum (which is “I am here” in Latin). After earning herMaster’s degree, she began a new career as an administrator in Student and Academic Affairs in Higher Education allowing her to work with undergraduate and graduate students in various institutions. She served as the Director of the Office of Gay Lesbian Programs at Central Michigan University, Associate Director of the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs at University of Michigan, and lastly, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. She has served on many committees and boards including the Southeast Alaska Gay & Lesbian Alliance (SEAGLA) in Juneau, AK and Wild Womyn of Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. Currently her involvement in the Rogue Valley includes volunteering with Rogue Action Center (RAC) on the De-escalation Team and Steering Committee for the Listening Project, Neighborhood Leader Program, and serving as Volunteer Coordinator for the Krause4Commissioner Campaign.
