OUR MISSION

The Literacy Collective of Illinois empowers PK-12 educators with innovative strategies, resources, and support to foster literacy excellence in every classroom. Through collaborative learning, research-based practices, and ongoing mentorship, we elevate teacher effectiveness, enhance student engagement, and promote a culture of lifelong literacy proficiency. We also offer coaching for school and district curriculum teams to ensure clarity and alignment with educational goals.  LCI supports teachers, and both school and district leaders, with the tools to create evidenced-based, explicit, systematic, and equitable literacy instructional experiences for all students.
