In October we held a quiz night for our new students and their families. It was a fantastic evening of fun and laughter. Rounds ranged from 'name the intro', 'film trailer observation' to 'name the tube stop' and even blind crisp tasting. (Who knew Chip Shop Curry was a flavour?)
Raffle tickets were won, questions answered (and challenged!) and most importantly money raised for the school PTA funds.
Just before Christmas Year 7 and 8 had a silent disco where they danced along to the latest tunes.
Our resident Bingo caller Mr Ryan did a sterling job of hosting our first ever bingo night. Many wonderful prizes were up for grabs from local businesses such as Mayhem Paintball, Top Golf, Zizzi, Morrisons, Forest Casuals, 8 Rocks and Zambrero.
We had a wonderful evening at 8 Rocks with a Wine Tasting event. Staff and parents enjoyed a selection of 6 wines, described by the manager Vik. Thank you to him and his staff for making us all feel so welcome.
It was a crisp Autumn evening to have our first ever outdoor silent cinema, showing the Disney film Coco.
People brought their camping chairs and blankets to munch on hotdogs as they put on the headphones to watch the film
We had a wonderful time at the recent summer fair. Although the weather was not what we had hoped for at the beginning of June, the event was nonetheless a great success. We welcomed over 300 parents, students and prospective families into our wonderful new building. There were plenty of stalls from local businesses as well as food stalls and a very popular tombola and raffle. Many young people were queuing for a picture with one of Amy’s Amazing Reptiles and lots of families got involved with the student stalls- a scavenger hunt, glitter tattoos and penalty shoot out amongst other things.
Please take a look at the brochure which was handed out to all visitors on the day. This provides information on how you can still get involved through our parent lottery, sponsor a tree initiative and piano fund.

There are also details of our next event- a quiz night on the 25th September. Tickets are on sale now.
Overall we made £3500 profit, which now goes towards funding a new piano in the main hall and for the gardening club to spruce up the science garden.
