9/11 Commemoration

Good morning Teachers.  

First and foremost, I apologize for the lateness of this email communication.  

Plans for this Friday's Advisory will center on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

During Advisory, I am asking teachers to access the video link below on their SmartBoard. The video provides a recap of the events of September 11 and includes personal stories from individuals who survived that day.

September 11 Memorial & Museum – 35-Minute Film

We will follow the 40-minute Advisory schedule on Friday.

The video has been previewed and provides an opportunity for students to connect with and learn about the events of that day. However, we are always empathetic to our students and if it is difficult or uncomfortable please inform students that they are able to OPT out.  Please send them to the ARC or guidance. 

And finally, there is no expectation for teachers to facilitate a discussion with students following the video.
