What is the SAT?

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is a standardized, college readiness test administered by the College Board. It provides students with the opportunity to measure their readiness for college-level work, to share information about themselves with the colleges and universities that interest them, and is used by many colleges and universities as part of their admissions process and scholarship considerations.

What is the "SAT 10 Day Challenge"?

All Rockwall ISD 11th Graders will receive preparation of the SAT through their English classes. This preparation will take the form of the "SAT 10 Day Challenge", in which students will be presented with 10 mini-lessons that provides students with skills practice and test-taking strategies that they can use on the March 25, 2020 SAT. This "10 Day Challenge" was designed around the test items most missed by juniors on the October 2019 PSAT.

What is the purpose of this Google Site?

Rockwall ISD students taking dual credit English as juniors will miss the "10 Day Challenge" lessons since they are not taking their English class at a Rockwall ISD high school. This site will provide students with the chance to experience the 10 Day Challenge lessons in an independent, self-paced environment. Other students wanting to review the "10 Day Challenge" lessons may also find this Google Site to be an excellent resource when preparing to take the SAT. When working with this resource, we recommend breaking up the topics to 10 minutes- per-a-day format.
