An instrument screening is a 1-hour appointment where a band director will guide your child through trying the band instruments. This is required for all new band students. The link to sign up is below. Dates and available times will be listed after you click on the link.

This is the best part! Your child will work with one of the band directors to “test drive“ as many instruments as they want, including a percussion aptitude screening. Then, using our years of experience and expertise, we will help your child decide what instrument they will play next year at Rakow MS based on your child’s interests and what instruments fit them the best.

You and your child are invited to our Band Instrument Celebration. This will be a fun event where you will learn more about how to obtain instruments and supplies as well as have the opportunity to celebrate the beginning of your child’s journey playing an instrument in the band at Rakow MS!

La prueba de instrumentos es una cita de una hora en la que un director de banda guiará a su hijo o hija para que pruebe los diferentes instrumentos de la banda. ¡Esta es la mejor parte! Su hijo/a trabajará con uno de los directores de la banda para probar tantos instrumentos como desee, incluyendo una evaluación de aptitud para la percusión. Luego, basándonos en nuestra amplia experiencia y conocimientos, ayudaremos a su hijo/a a decidir qué instrumento tocará el próximo año en la Escuela Secundaria Rakow, teniendo en cuenta sus intereses y qué instrumentos se adaptan mejor a sus aptitudes.

Usted y su hijo están invitados a nuestra celebración de instrumentos de banda. Será un evento divertido donde podrán obtener más información sobre cómo conseguir instrumentos y materiales, y además tendrán la oportunidad de celebrar el comienzo de la trayectoria musical de su hijo tocando un instrumento en la banda de la escuela secundaria Rakow.
