Meet Mrs. Jallad

Hello! My name is Mrs. Jallad, and I am so excited to be your child's Second Grade Resource Teacher this year at Birchwood Elementary!

This is my eighth year at Birchwood Elementary and my fourteenth year in education. Teaching has always been my passion, and I truly can't imagine doing anything else. I love helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and celebrate every success—big or small. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and capable of reaching their full potential.

I earned my bachelor's degree from Rowan University and hold certifications in Elementary Education and Teacher of Students with Disabilities. I later completed my Master's Degree in Reading at Centenary University, where I also earned my Reading Specialist and Supervisor certifications. I enjoy continuing to learn through professional development so I can bring the best instructional practices to my students.

When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my wonderful husband and our three children, Matthew, Nicholas, and Elizabeth. We enjoy exploring new places, spending time outdoors, making memories together, and cheering each other on in all of life's adventures. I also love cooking, trying new recipes, reading, and, of course, you'll almost always find me with a cup of coffee in hand!

I am looking forward to partnering with you to make this a fun, successful, and rewarding school year. Together, we'll help your child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I can't wait to get to know your family!
