Students will be learning the skills needed to prepare them for the Algebra I course next school year. There will be multiple topics covered in each class, so attendance is critical. There will be assessments throughout the course to monitor student understanding. There will also be a summative assessment at the end of the course. 

The student is required to pass the summative assessment with at least an 85% the first time the student takes the assessment to be considered for placement in Algebra I for September. Attendance in the class and passing the summative assessment does not guarantee placement into Algebra in the fall.

Daily attendance and punctuality are essential. Students are permitted no more than two absences. Any student who exceeds this limit will be automatically withdrawn from the course unless there is a documented medical reason. Classes will run from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM daily. Students arriving after 8:35 AM or leaving before 12:30 PM on a regular basis may be removed from the course due to missed instructional time.

Dates: June 30th through July 25th (excluding July 4)

**Transportation is provided, if needed, for an additional fee of $116.50 per child. **

Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first-served basis.  

**Bus payment must be received by Tuesday, April 22nd, or your child will not be guaranteed a spot in the class and/or transportation.**

Payment must be submitted via check and made payable to Rockaway Township BOE.

Please mail or drop off a separate check for this.  In the Memo Section of the Check, please make sure you indicate Busing and your child's name.  Busing will only be held for students whose busing payment is submitted along with the registration payment.
