This year, our rising sixth through eighth graders will be able to self-select a book to do for summer reading. We want to honor students' individual reading identities and allow them to choose books that represent this.

Ways to Ensure Appropriate Book Selection:
Contact your child's teacher to discuss your child's reading skills
Ask a librarian at one of the local libraries for assistance
Use the "five-finger test"
You will submit your work to your language arts teacher in September.
