Welcome to Mrs. Marini's kindergarten class!
This is my 9th year teaching in Rockaway Township. I started teaching preschool at DBO and then moved over to Stony Brook and have been teaching kindergarten for the last 8 years.
I graduated with my degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Rhode Island. I obtained my Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification and master's degree in Autism and Developmental Disabilities from William Paterson University. I also have some experience with Orton Gillingham.
At Stony Brook, I am so lucky to work with such a great kindergarten team. The knowledgeable, kind, and caring kindergarten team consists of myself, Ms. Arico, and Mrs. Sproul. Together we bring the students the best educational and social experiences. Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Udina are the staff assistants in my classroom who work hard each day to help everyone be successful!
Outside of school I spend a lot of time with my two daughters, Mia and Tessa. They keep Mr. Marini and I very busy! I also like to go to the gym, bake, work in my garden, and spend time with my family and friends. During the summer, I love to spend time at the beach and on my family's boat on Lake Hopatcong!
I can't wait to see you in kindergarten!
1. H - Be honest
2. E - Put yourself in other people’s shoes to think about how your actions/words will make them feel
3. A - Accept that we are all different
4. R - Respect each other and all adults
5. T - Trust in yourself and others
In our classroom we will treat others with kindness and respect, use good manners, follow the directions, share, take turns, make mistakes, learn, and HAVE FUN!
.
Please check folders each day and return folders to school each day. The folder is very important because this is how we will communicate and share work between school and home.
