After graduating from Saint Peter's College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and American Studies with a minor in History, Mrs. Young began teaching 7th Grade Math and Science for the Jersey City Board of Education. Her career in Rockaway Township began in 2016 at Katharine D. Malone School teaching 5th grade. In 2022, Mrs. Young became the Math Specialist for the district . She works collaboratively with the Kindergarten through 5th grade teachers across the entire district to suppport best math practices.

Mrs. Young married her college sweetheart Kevin and has three sons, Jack, Ryan, and Ethan. The Youngs enjoy spending time together whether it is a day at the beach or a board game at the dining room table.
