Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Diana Calvanico and I teach science and social studies to all of the fourth grade students at Stony Brook. I began my teaching career in Jersey City for a short time and then I came to the Rockaway Twp. School District. I have been teaching in the district for over 20 years in kindergarten-fourthgrade, first at DBO and now at SB. I am fortunate to be working with a great fourth grade team!
I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, Grades K-8 from Kean University and also earned a Masters Degree in Educational Technology from New Jersey City University. I have been involved with several commitees over the course of my teaching career: which include science curriculum revisions, creating annual videos for Stony Brook fundraising, and teaching a STEM afterschool program and summer enrichment.
