All the activities and events the PTA hosts would not be possible without support from our PTA volunteers. You must be an active PTA member to be eligible to volunteer. To join the PTA, please see our membership tab for sign-up information.
Committee/Activity Descriptions:
Assembly/Cultural Arts (Scheduling an Author for Author Day, Assemblies, Plays, Musical Performance, Etc.)
Beautification: Help keep our school grounds beautiful. This includes changing seasonal decor, fall/spring cleanup, etc.
Family Events/Engagement: The PTA hosts various activities throughout the year to support family togetherness. Some of the events are:
*Trunk or Treat *Candy Bar Bingo *Family Pizza Night *Kindergarten Social
Field Day: Many hands are needed for this all day long fun event. Help is needed running events, prepping and serving lunch and cleaning up.
Fundraising: As a Non-Profit organization, fundraising is our primary means to raise money to cover expenses for activities and events. If you would like to help with our fundraising efforts, please email the PTA Officers (bwpta@rocktwp.net).
Holiday Gift Shop: Hosted in December, students have a chance to shop for gifts for their families, teachers and anyone else on their list.
Ice Cream Social: Students are treated to an ice cream party by the PTA. This day is combined with Disney Day to make it extra fun for everyone.
Scholastic Book Fair: Held in the fall, students have an opportunity to shop for books with their class.
Spirit-Wear: Show your school spirit with your Birchwood Bulldog gear.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation: Our PTA goes the extra mile to shower our teachers & staff with extra love during this week long celebration.
Wellness: The Walk-A-Thon is our biggest wellness event that encourages healthy choices and physical activity while having fun with teachers and classmates.
Fifth Grade Committee: Our 5th grade parents have an opportunity to be part of creating memorable "last time" activities for our 5th graders as they finish out their final year as a Bulldog! Under the direction of our 5th grade teacher advisor, parents will work on activities that include: Designing the "Class of" T-shirts, creating the Yearbook, participating in the Mini-Olympics, hosting the Bagel Breakfast/Yearbook signing, submitting the memory tile orders - to name a few.
