I'm so excited to experience the school year with you! Together we will strengthen and build our literacy skills, explore inviting topics and a variety of genres, laugh often, learn much, and make wonderful memories. Students and families, please utilize this website to find out what's going on in class, catch up on work that may have been missed, and access resources.

My name is Mrs. Lewis, and this is my eighth year teaching at SMMS. I'm proud to call myself a Warrior! I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in Middle Level Education. I have a background in reading and language arts education, as well as a minor in Spanish. I also have a Master's from ISU in Teaching and Learning.

I have lived in the Roscoe/Rockton area my entire life. I'm thrilled to be able to give back to this amazing community by doing what I love!

In addition to reading, I love baking (and eating sweets), writing, shopping, crafting, playing games, and traveling. My husband and I have a daughter who is a year and a half old. She makes life very busy and fun!

My goal this school year is to be more than a reading teacher. I am here to support you all in any way that I can and to learn from you as well. Let's make this a great year!
