8/11

Dear Sea Turtle Families,

Thanks so much for sending your children ready to learn, we had a great first day!

Also thank you for all of the classroom supplies you donated. We really appreciate your generosity.

We will be sending weekly email updates and important information. We would like for at least one family member to receive these updates. This email list comes from Aeries so please let us know if you would like additional people added/ removed. We will include weekly homework here, special dress days, information/ changes to our schedule, etc...

PE

We will have PE on Tuesdays and Thursdays- STARTING TOMORROW! Please make sure your child wears appropriate clothes and shoes to run and move. It's also good to keep this in mind for our daily recesses/ movement activities as well.

NAME LABELS

Students are already leaving behind water bottles, lunch boxes, snack baggies, masks, sweaters, etc. Please make sure everything is labeled with your child's name.

LUNCH/ SNACK TIME

Please make sure that your child eats a healthy breakfast before school.

Kindergartners will need to bring a snack to eat during recess. This snack should only be one or two items that your child can eat quickly. Please put snacks in a Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name. Your child will need to place this bag in his/her cubby upon arrival at school. We are hoping the Ziploc bags will keep the ants away. Your child should also bring a water bottle or thermos labeled with his/her name.

We will not be using public water fountains.

Some suggestions for snacks are:

Popcorn, Sliced fruit, Veggies/dip, Apple sauce/spoon, Crackers, Raisins, Mini muffins, Graham crackers, Rice cakes, Sliced cheese/cheese sticks, Yogurt, Mini bagels

* We have students with seed/peanut/tree nut allergies so please try to avoid these items.

PICK UP/ DROP OFF

*Please note that we have a different schedule on Mondays

Monday: Drop of window: 7:40-7:50am; Pick up: 1:10 pm

Tuesday- Friday: Drop off window: 7:40-7:50am; Pick up: 2:10 pm

HOWLING COYOTE- SR Family Newsletter

Each week, Principal Patterson sends out a parent newsletter, sometimes referred to as the "Howling Coyote." Our Kinder newsletters often relay some of that information, especially the things that are most relevant to us, however with things changing so rapidly, make sure to try to skim that or remember to look for it (on the school homepage) when trying to recall school information. Here is the LINK to the one from this week which contains lots of back to school hybrid information.
