Birthday Spotlights

While I was growing up, birthdays were important and something I always looked forward to with great expectation. I enjoy creating an opportunity for students to feel extra special in the classroom on their birthday, too. Therefore, rather than treats for the class, the “Spotlight” will be focused on the birthday child!

First, please interview your child and then complete the "Birthday Spotlight Questionnaire". Next, fill a lunch-sized bag with special treats and trinkets (a cupcake, candy, markers, fun erasers, etc.) for your child to enjoy. Please send the treat-filled bag on your child’s birthday (or day closest to it) and they will open it in front of the class. We will also sing “Happy Birthday”, I’ll share the responses of the Birthday Spotlight Questionnaire , and we’ll finish with questions from the audience! It will be a special day to remember!
