Welcome 5th graders! I have had the privilege to teach in Rocklin Unified School District for the past 20 years and I have been teaching at Sierra Elementary IB School for 18 years. I have taught both 4th and 5th grades. My goal as an educator is to empower students as they continue through their educational career. I hope to make learning meaningful for each student while providing an exciting and enticing classroom environment where all students feel comfortable taking risks.
In my personal life, I have been married for 32 years and have three wonderful kids and an 8 month old grandson. My oldest son, his wife, and my grandson live in Jacksonville, Florida where my son is serving in the US Navy. My daughter is a TK aide here at Sierra and my youngest son is attending Sierra College. My children have attended all levels of Rocklin Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. My hobby is to work with my husband on our farm, Mt Vernon Mini Farm, in Auburn, California. I have dozens of chickens, a mini pig, a mini goat, three crazy dogs, two lazy cats, and a large Sulcata tortoise. I love to grow vegetables and strawberries on my farm as well as flowers.
