About Me

Welcome 5th graders!  I have had the privilege to teach in  Rocklin Unified School District for the past 18 years and I have been teaching at Sierra Elementary IB School for 16 years.  I have taught both 4th and 5th grades.  My goal as an educator is to empower students as they continue through their educational career.  I hope  to make learning meaningful for each student while providing an exciting and enticing classroom environment where all students feel comfortable taking risks.

In my personal life, I have been married for 30 years and have three wonderful kids.  My oldest is  almost 28 and he is currently stationed in Florida while serving in the  US Navy.  My daughter is almost 22 and just graduated from California State University Fullerton and my youngest is almost 19  and  will be attending Sierra College in the fall.    My children have attended all levels of Rocklin Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade.  My hobby is to work with my husband  on our farm, Mt Vernon Mini Farm, in Auburn, California.  I have dozens of chickens, two mini pigs, two mini goats, four crazy dogs, two lazy cats, and a large Sulcata tortoise. I love to grow vegetables and strawberries on my farm as well as flowers.
