About Mrs. Johnson

Welcome to my class page! I look forward to an exciting year as a member of Sierra's 3rd grade teaching staff and as an International Baccalaureate teacher! I am in my 24th year as a Rocklin teacher and helped to open Sierra Elementary School in 2001. I have taught K/1 as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade classes. I am so excited to move into my next journey in my career as Sierra's IB Coordinator and VAPA teacher. Prior to teaching, my professional experience included a career in public relations and writing. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, my black chow chow and my boxer/shepherd pup! I love to travel with my immediate and extended family to new and different places. Whether we're hitting the off-road trails in the deep canyons of Death Valley, CA, exploring the castles of England or following behind a pod of orcas off the coast of British Columbia, our family is all about adventure and fun.
