What is FFA?

Vocational Education was funded in 1917 through the Smith Hughes Act, which established agriculture education.

The Future Farmers of America was established in Weyers Cave, Virginia in 1927, which led to the creation of the National FFA Organization in 1928.

FFA is a student organization for agriculture education students. FFA is an intracurricular component of agriculture education. The Turner Ashby FFA Chapter was founded in 1956 to promote premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.

The Virginia FFA Association serves more than 14,000 members from over 200 chapters. Today, there are over 1,042,245 FFA members in 9,163 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
